    Role


        Scale inhibition: HEDP can form stable chelates with metal ions such as calcium and magnesium in water, preventing these metal ions from forming insoluble salt precipitation, thus preventing the generation of scale. At the same time, it can also through the lattice distortion effect, so that the growth of scale crystals is inhibited, making it difficult to gather to form large scale particles.


        Corrosion inhibition: HEDP can form a dense protective film on the metal surface, preventing dissolved oxygen and other corrosive substances in water from contacting with the metal, thus slowing down the corrosion rate of the metal.


    Usage


        Industrial circulating cooling water system: It is used to prevent scale deposition and equipment corrosion in circulating cooling water, to ensure efficient operation of the cooling system and prolong the service life of the equipment.


        Boiler water treatment: It can effectively prevent the formation of scale in the boiler, improve the heat transfer efficiency of the boiler, reduce energy consumption, and at the same time, reduce the safety hazards caused by scale.


        Oil field water treatment: In oil field water injection system, it can prevent calcium and magnesium ions in water from scaling in pipeline and equipment, ensure the smoothness of water injection system, and improve the oil recovery efficiency. It can also be used in oil well acidizing operation to inhibit the corrosion of acid on the ground layer.


        Paper industry: used in the pulp cooking process of paper industry, it can inhibit the catalytic degradation of cellulose by metal ions and improve the quality and yield of pulp. At the same time, it can also be used as scale inhibitor in papermaking wastewater treatment to prevent scaling of wastewater treatment equipment.


        Textile printing and dyeing industry: as a metal ion chelating agent, it can be used to remove metal impurities in the textile printing and dyeing process, improve the quality of printing and dyeing products, and also prevent the scaling and corrosion of equipment.
