Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) Sodium Salt has good stability, especially in water treatment and industrial applications, and its chemical and physical stability makes it a very effective water quality chelator and stabilizer.
Stability under Strong Acid and Base Conditions: EDTMPS is very stable under weak acid and neutral conditions, but may hydrolyze or decompose under strong acid (low pH) or base (high pH) conditions. For example, the stability of EDTMPS decreases at pH values below 2 or above 12, so too extreme a pH environment is usually avoided in use.
Temperature Resistance: EDTMPS remains stable at higher temperatures and can usually be used over a range of temperatures. For high temperature and high pressure industrial environments, EDTMPS can effectively resist thermal decomposition and corrosion, and is suitable for use in boiler water, cooling water and other systems.
Stability with metal ions: EDTMPS, as a strong metal chelator, can form stable complexes with a variety of metal ions (e.g. calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, etc.). This chelating effect enhances its anticorrosive performance, especially in hard water environment can effectively inhibit the formation of scale.
EDTMPS is highly stable and performs particularly well in water treatment and metal corrosion protection. It has good chemical stability, high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance, but its stability may be affected in extreme acid and alkaline environments.
